Private Hire FAQs

Is there a cost to hire the room?
‍Room hire is free with a minimum spend of £300 on food.
If no food is required, a standard room hire fee of £100 applies.
If you'd like to add skittles, it's £125 total.

‍Can I bring my own catering?
Yes, you're welcome to provide your own food.
In this case, standard hire fees apply, plus a £50 cleaning and waste disposal charge.

‍Are children allowed?
‍Yes — the room is private, so children are welcome.
However, as toilets are shared with the main pub, all under-18s must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

‍What about ID and alcohol?
Anyone lucky enough to look under 25 will need to bring valid photo ID, even at private events.
We have to stick to licensing laws, so we take this seriously.

‍When does the bar close?
The bar closes in line with our normal service hours:
‍11pm midweek / Midnight on Fridays & Saturdays
Depending on the event and numbers, this may be extended — just ask!

‍Is a deposit required?
Yes, we take a £100 deposit to secure the room.
Cancel over 6 months in advance: full refund
Cancel 3–6 months in advance: 50% refund
Cancel under 3 months in advance: deposit non-refundable

‍Can I organise my own entertainment?
Yes — you’re welcome to bring your own live music, DJ or other entertainment.
We do require:
A copy of the act's Public Liability Insurance
‍Proof that all equipment is PAT tested
